3 light Portrait part 2. We are now going to add special effects to push a 3 light portrait into a Jay P. Morgan explosion photograph. Editing by Adam Consolo.
This is the first in an on going series of Videos that I will post showing how I light and create images. My goal is to not just show the behind the scenes of my work but to provide easy to follow instructions on how to create the lighting you see. No guessing or trying to figure it out. It is clear.
This is s simple 3 light Portrait lesson that shows the basics of a 3 light set up to photograph a person.

If you're a professional Nikon photographer take a look at the D4 and consider upgrading

Hands will make or break your shot in a heartbeat. Generally a woman's hands should appear graceful. You want to achieve a soft, elegant and natural position of the hands so that they do not become a distraction.
Angled wrists and claw like fingers are things that we generally would not notice when we watch a pretty girl in person, but preserve them in a photograph and they suddenly become a distraction that will take away from your subject's natural beauty.
